Equum Medical, a leading provider of acute telehealth-enabled clinical workforce solutions, announced today it has acquired the clinical health services of VeeOne Health. The acquisition includes Tele-Psychiatry, Tele-Neurology, Tele-Infectious Disease, Tele-Pulmonary, and Tele-ICU service lines.

“The acquisition of VeeOne Health’s services represents an exciting opportunity to continue expanding the reach and depth of Equum’s acute care telehealth offerings,” said Dr. Corey Scurlock, CEO and Founder of Equum Medical. “By adding these critical service lines, Equum further solidifies its position as a comprehensive partner to hospitals nationwide. We are committed to ensuring that our expanded services bring even greater value to our customers and improved outcomes for patients.”

The move significantly strengthens Equum’s nationwide telehealth coverage, which now supports physician service coverage in over 200 hospitals and post-acute facilities across the U.S. The addition of VeeOne’s services allows Equum to advance its mission to improve access and outcomes through virtual care, particularly in high-demand specialties.

“Equum Medical is an ideal home for VeeOne’s clinical services portfolio,” said Ijaz Arif, CEO of VeeOne Health. “Over the years, we have built robust telehealth programs that have made a real impact for our clients. Joining forces with Equum—a market leader in acute telehealth—means our customers will now benefit from a full spectrum of high-acuity telehealth solutions under one roof. Equum’s commitment to clinical quality and innovation mirrors our own, and we are confident that together, we will continue to provide exceptional virtual care services to healthcare organizations nationwide. This is a win for our clients and for the future of telehealth.”

The acquisition arrives at a critical time as hospitals face persistent staffing shortages and growing demand for specialty coverage. With this move, Equum now offers an expanded “Access Suite” of multi-specialty services—including Tele-Stroke, Tele-Neurology, Tele-Psychiatry, Tele-Pulmonology, Tele-Infectious Disease, Tele-Cardiology, Tele-Nephrology, and high-acuity physician services such as Tele-Critical Care and Tele-Hospitalist. Its “Capacity Suite” includes virtual nursing, virtual safety sitter and observation programs, telemetry monitoring, and post-acute extensions like Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).

This strategic growth builds on Equum’s strong industry positioning. The company has been named one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s Top Telehealth Companies to Know and was recognized by Black Book Market Research as the #1 vendor in Tele-Critical Care and Virtual Nursing Solutions in early 2025. Dr. Scurlock was also honored by Slice of Healthcare as one of the Top Digital Health Leaders, and Equum’s Chief Nursing Officer, Kristen Lawton, MSN, RN, was included in Becker’s 2024 “Women in Health IT to Know.”

Following the acquisition, VeeOne Health will continue to focus on AI-powered virtual healthcare innovations, including remote patient monitoring, hospital-at-home, ambulatory services, and care coordination.
