HealthTech HotSpot Editorial Guidelines

– Updated November 2025

HealthTech HotSpot is a digital media platform dedicated to exploring how technology is transforming healthcare. We welcome content submissions from healthcare professionals, innovators, and technology organizations that share our mission to inform, educate, and inspire progress across the healthcare ecosystem.

Our Editorial Mission

We deliver fact-based, journalistically sound coverage of healthcare technology innovation—emphasizing how new tools, partnerships, and policies improve the experience and outcomes for patients, providers, and payers.

Our publication strives to:

  • Promote open, evidence-based dialogue among healthcare stakeholders.
  • Encourage transparency, trust, and accountability in digital health communication.
  • Maintain strict separation between editorial reporting and paid or promotional content.

Who May Contribute

We welcome submissions from:

  • Healthcare executives and clinicians
  • Health IT and MedTech vendors
  • Consultants, researchers, and industry analysts
  • Communications and PR professionals representing healthcare organizations

Contributors must disclose any commercial, financial, or institutional affiliations relevant to their article.

Submission Process

Authors are encouraged—but not required—to submit a brief outline or abstract before drafting a full article. This helps ensure alignment with our editorial focus and current coverage priorities.

Please email proposals or completed manuscripts to Press@HealthTechHotSpot.com, including:

  • Author name, title, and organization
  • Contact email and phone number
  • A short description of the proposed topic and its relevance to healthcare technology

We respond to inquiries within five business days. Once accepted, final articles undergo editorial review and copyediting prior to publication.

Accepted materials may appear in one of the following sections:

  • News – announcements, product launches, partnerships
  • Views – contributed opinion and analysis pieces
  • Trends – market shifts, research insights, or case studies

Content Accepted

We consider:

  • Bylined features and thought-leadership articles (650–2,000 words)
  • Opinion columns or executive viewpoints
  • Research reports, surveys, and white papers
  • Previously published blogs (only if they have appeared exclusively on your organization’s website)

All submissions must present original content not published elsewhere in full.

Editorial Standards and Tone

  • Write in a clear, professional tone suitable for executives and clinicians.
  • Avoid marketing hyperbole, unverified claims, or product endorsements.
  • Reference companies and products only when necessary to illustrate insight.
  • Attribute data and statements using neutral language (“according to the company,” “the study found”).
  • Articles should follow Associated Press or New York Times–style journalistic standards, with AMA-style references or linked citations where appropriate.

All submissions are copyedited for accuracy, clarity, and consistency with HealthTech HotSpot style. Edited versions may be returned to authors for fact-checking prior to publication.

Formatting and Length

  • Word count: 650–2,000 words (feature articles); no limit for research reports.
  • Structure: Use clear subheadings, concise paragraphs, and active voice.
  • Author byline: Include full name, title, organization, and relevant credentials.
  • Biography: ≤75 words; include career highlights and a contact email (unless opting out).
  • Headshot: Please include a professional headshot (minimum 600×600 px, JPG or PNG) for op-eds and thought-leadership articles.
  • File format: Submit in Microsoft Word or Google Docs; do not embed images within the text.

Images and Visuals

Original illustrations, charts, and graphs are encouraged.

Please send visuals as separate files (JPG or PNG, ~1920×1080 px).

Authors must hold the rights to use submitted visuals.

Include the following for all visuals:

  • Caption describing the image or data visualization (1–2 sentences).
  • Alt-text summarizing the image for accessibility and SEO (10–20 words).
  • Credit line and source (if applicable).

Fact-Checking and Accuracy

We prioritize credibility and accuracy above all.

Authors are responsible for verifying data, statistics, and attributions.

HealthTech HotSpot reserves the right to reject or revise any submission that lacks supporting evidence, misrepresents facts, or conflicts with our editorial ethics.

Sponsored and Paid Content

We occasionally collaborate on Sponsored Features and Partner Perspectives, clearly labeled as “Sponsored Feature – in partnership with [Company Name].”

Sponsored articles follow the same editorial and fact-checking standards as independent content but include promotional collaboration and paid placement as outlined in our Media Kit.

Backlinks and References

HealthTech HotSpot welcomes relevant hyperlinks to credible sources, research studies, or organizational websites when they provide context or verification.

However, we do not sell or guarantee backlinks for SEO purposes, and all links in sponsored content are properly labeled or tagged according to Google’s link-disclosure standards (rel=”sponsored” or rel=”nofollow”).

This policy protects our editorial integrity and ensures compliance with modern SEO and advertising ethics.

AI and Authorship Disclosure

Submissions generated in whole or in part using artificial intelligence tools must include a brief disclosure describing how AI was used (e.g., for drafting, editing, or data summarization). All AI-assisted submissions are reviewed for factual integrity and human oversight.

Reprints and Promotion

Authors are encouraged to share published articles through their corporate or professional channels.

When reposting excerpts or links, include attribution to HealthTechHotSpot.com and, where feasible, display the HealthTech HotSpot logo or hyperlink.

High-resolution logos and co-branding assets are available upon request.

Editorial Review and Rights

Submission to HealthTech HotSpot does not guarantee publication.

We reserve the right to decline, postpone, or edit content to meet editorial and ethical standards.

Authors grant HealthTech HotSpot non-exclusive rights to publish and distribute accepted content, with credit retained by the author or organization.
